Janus Henderson U.S. Real Estate ETF (JRE)

The Janus Henderson U.S. Real Estate ETF was an actively managed exchange-traded fund that invested in U.S. real estate investment trusts and other real estate companies. Its managers selected companies they believed had durable growth and sound balance sheets across property types such as industrial, residential, data centers and healthcare. The fund was sponsored by Janus Henderson Investors, whose U.S. operations are based in Denver. It traded on NYSE Arca under the symbol JRE.

Janus Henderson launched the ETF in June 2021 as part of an expansion of its actively managed ETF lineup. The fund gave investors access to the firm's real estate team through an exchange-traded structure. It paid distributions drawn from the dividends of its REIT holdings. Despite this, it never gathered a large asset base relative to passive real estate index funds.

On June 5, 2026 Janus Henderson announced that it would close and liquidate the fund. The ETF stopped accepting creation orders after the close of business on August 6, 2026, and trading was halted before the market opened on August 7, 2026. Shareholders still holding shares received a cash distribution of net asset value on or about August 13, 2026. The JRE symbol was then removed from NYSE Arca.
