About Inspire Veterinary Partners, Inc.
Inspire Veterinary Partners, Inc. owned and operated a network of veterinary hospitals and clinics in the United States. The company was based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and was founded by Kimball Carr, who served as chief executive officer. Its strategy was to acquire independent veterinary practices and operate them under local brands, offering general practice, wellness, surgery and related care for companion animals.
Consolidation of independent veterinary practices has been a notable theme in the industry for many years, with larger operators backed by private capital buying clinics at scale. Inspire pursued this approach on a much smaller scale, financing acquisitions with a combination of equity, seller notes and other debt. Growth by acquisition added revenue, but it also increased interest costs, integration work and demands on management.
The company completed an initial public offering in 2023 and its Class A common stock listed on the Nasdaq Capital Market under the symbol IVPR. After the offering, the stock price declined sharply and the company reported net losses. Its financial statements included disclosure of substantial doubt about its ability to continue as a going concern, and it undertook a reverse stock split and further equity issuances to keep its listing.
In late 2025, the company disclosed that it faced a Nasdaq hearing over its failure to meet the $1.00 minimum bid price requirement under Listing Rule 5550(a)(2). Its chief executive discussed the pending hearing in a public interview. A Nasdaq Hearings Panel then denied the company's request for continued listing.
Trading in the Class A common stock on the Nasdaq Capital Market was suspended at the open on January 21, 2026, and the shares began quotation on the OTCQB Venture Market under the same symbol, IVPR. The company said it intended to continue filing periodic reports with the SEC for the time being.
Nasdaq filed a Form 25 with the SEC on June 4, 2026 to complete the removal of the shares from listing and registration on the exchange. The delisting was caused by noncompliance with an exchange listing standard and did not involve an acquisition, merger or bankruptcy, so no payment was made to shareholders. Inspire continues to operate its veterinary clinics as an OTC-quoted company. Moves from Nasdaq to the OTCQB commonly reduce institutional ownership and trading volume, and the quoted price can be more volatile than that of an exchange-listed stock. Investors holding the shares must now trade them through brokers that support OTC securities, and the company remains responsible for its own disclosure and financing.
