Icahn Enterprises L.P. (IEP)

Icahn Enterprises L.P. and its subsidiaries own businesses in investment, energy, automotive, food packaging, real estate, home fashion and pharmaceuticals, in the United States and abroad. The Investment segment puts the firm's own capital to work through private investment funds. The Energy segment refines transportation fuels and makes nitrogen fertilizers such as urea ammonium nitrate and ammonia. The Automotive segment sells car parts at retail and wholesale and offers repair and maintenance.

The Food Packaging segment makes and sells casings used to prepare processed meat. The Real Estate segment leases retail, office and industrial property, builds and sells single-family homes and residential units, and runs golf and club operations, hotels and timeshare resorts. The Home Fashion segment makes, sources, markets, distributes and sells home fashion products, and the Pharma segment offers pharmaceutical products and services.

The partnership was founded in 1987 and is headquartered in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. It continues to grow its portfolio across several industries.
