About Canoo Inc
Canoo was a U.S. mobility technology company that designed, built and sold electric vehicles for consumers, commercial fleets, government and the military. Its vehicles were built on a multi-purpose platform: a self-contained rolling chassis holding the key EV parts, including its own drivetrain, battery systems, and control electronics and software.
Its lineup included lifestyle vehicles, lifestyle and multi-purpose delivery vehicles and pickups, along with battery modules and engineering services. Its digital tools included CanooHub, a web fleet management portal, a driver app for vehicle status and remote commands, and an in-vehicle interface with controls, alerts, camera feeds and connectivity, backed by data and analytics.
Canoo was founded in 2017 and based in Torrance, California. On January 17, 2025, it filed for Chapter 7 liquidation in Delaware. Its shares were delisted from the Nasdaq in January 2025, with the final trade on January 31, 2025 at $0.15.
