DEFSEC Technologies Inc. (DFSC)

DEFSEC Technologies Inc. is a defense and security technology company headquartered in Ottawa, Canada. Founded in 2017, it was known as KWESST Micro Systems until it changed its name in June 2025.

For military customers, the company develops digitization technology under the DEFSEC Lightning name that integrates with the TAK and ATAK situational-awareness software used by armed forces, along with tactical digital fires systems, a battlefield laser detection system, and a multi-function electromagnetic spectrum operations system.

For law enforcement and personal defense markets, it offers less-lethal munitions and launchers, including the ARWEN product line used by police tactical units and the PARA SHOT line. Its customers include defense departments, police services and security agencies in North America and allied countries.
