Cboe Vest S&P 500 Buffer ETF – September (CVAR) is an exchange-traded
fund offered by ETF Managers Group, that seeks to provide investors
with a way to mitigate downside risk in their portfolio by investing
in a portfolio of S&P 500 index options, while also maintaining some
level of upside participation.
The fund aims to track the
performance of the Cboe S&P 500 Buffer Protect Index - September,
which seeks to replicate the returns of a long position in the S&P 500
Total Return Index, up to a predetermined upside cap, while also
providing downside protection of a predetermined buffer level. The
fund has an expense ratio of 0.76%. As of March 23, 2023, the fund had
$210.81 million in assets under management. It was launched on August
30, 2018.
