Complete Solaria, Inc. (CSLR)

Complete Solaria, Inc. is a US residential solar company that sells and arranges solar panel and battery systems for homeowners. It was formed when Complete Solar, a provider of solar sales and installation services, combined with Solaria, a maker of solar panels, in 2022. The company uses a digital sales platform and a network of installers to deliver systems to customers.

The company became public in July 2023 through a merger with Freedom Acquisition I Corp., a special purpose acquisition company. Its shares began trading on Nasdaq under the symbol CSLR. The early public period was difficult, with large losses and a steep decline in the share price, and veteran semiconductor executive T.J. Rodgers took over as chief executive. Under his leadership the company cut costs and looked for acquisitions to restore growth.

In 2024, after SunPower Corporation filed for Chapter 11, Complete Solaria bought parts of the SunPower business, including its brand and dealer network. Management then announced in April 2025 that it would rename itself SunPower to take advantage of the well-known brand and would move to the SPWR ticker that the original SunPower had used. The company also added installers Sunder Energy and Ambia Energy.

The stock now trades on Nasdaq as SPWR, and the corporate name change to SunPower Inc. was completed in October 2025. The company describes itself as a residential solar services provider in North America. The current SunPower is a different legal entity from the SunPower Corporation that went bankrupt in 2024. The share price and business results of the new company are separate from the history of the old one, whose stock was cancelled in its bankruptcy.
