BNY Mellon Emerging Markets Debt ETF (BEMD)

The BNY Mellon Emerging Markets Debt ETF (BEMD) is an actively managed fixed-income fund sponsored by BNY Mellon's investment management business.

The fund invests in bonds issued by governments, government-related entities and corporations in emerging market countries. Depending on the managers' views, holdings can include debt denominated in U.S. dollars or other hard currencies as well as bonds in local currencies, spanning regions such as Latin America, Asia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The portfolio managers make country, currency, credit and interest-rate decisions based on fundamental research rather than replicating an index. The fund aims to provide income and total return from a sector of the bond market that generally offers higher yields in exchange for greater credit, political and currency risks.
