Westlake Chemical Partners LP (WLKP)

Westlake Chemical Partners LP, based in Houston, Texas, acquires, develops and runs ethylene plants and related assets in the United States. These plants turn ethane into ethylene, a basic input for many chemical products. The partnership also sells co-products such as propylene, crude butadiene, pyrolysis gasoline and hydrogen to outside customers on both spot and contract terms.

Its general partner, Westlake Chemical Partners GP LLC, oversees its strategy and operations. The partnership was formed in 2014 and supplies chemicals used in many industrial applications.

It aims to add more ethylene production facilities and to run them more efficiently as market demand grows.
