The BondBloxx IR+M Tax-Aware Short Duration ETF (TAXX) is an actively managed fixed income fund sponsored by BondBloxx Investment Management and managed day to day by Income Research + Management (IR+M), a Boston-based bond specialist.

The fund takes a tax-aware approach for investors in higher tax brackets. Managers allocate among tax-exempt municipal bonds and taxable investment-grade securities, including Treasuries, corporate bonds and securitized debt, choosing whichever offers the more attractive return after taxes. The portfolio is kept at a short duration to limit interest-rate sensitivity.
