Sono Group N.V. (SSM)

Sono Group N.V. is the Dutch-incorporated parent of Sono Motors, a company based in the Munich area of Germany that focuses on solar technology for vehicles.

Sono Motors originally developed the Sion, a passenger electric car with solar cells built into its body. It ended that program and turned instead to supplying vehicle-integrated solar products to other companies. Its main offering is a solar bus kit that can be retrofitted onto city buses and coaches, where the panels help power onboard systems such as heating and air conditioning, which cuts fuel use and emissions. It also develops custom solar integrations for trucks, trailers, vans and other commercial vehicles.

Customers include bus operators and commercial vehicle fleets.
