Sky Quarry Inc. (SKYQ)

Sky Quarry Inc. is based in Woods Cross, Utah. It focuses on recovering and recycling petroleum-based materials, especially waste asphalt shingles.

The company is developing a solvent-based extraction process that separates waste asphalt shingles into their parts: asphalt binder, aggregate and fiber. These materials can then be reused in paving and other applications instead of going to landfill. The same technology is also meant for extracting bitumen from oil sands deposits.

Sky Quarry also owns a small refinery in Nevada. The refinery processes crude oil into products such as fuels and asphalt-related materials, and provides a base for commercializing the company's recycling technology.
