Shell plc ADRhedged (SHEH)

Shell plc ADRhedged is an exchange-traded product from Precidian Investments that provides exposure to the American depositary receipts of Shell plc while hedging out currency fluctuations. Shell is a London-headquartered integrated energy company active in oil and natural gas exploration and production, liquefied natural gas, refining, chemicals, fuel retailing and lower-carbon energy.

Because Shell's underlying shares trade in currencies other than the U.S. dollar, the value of its ADRs is affected by exchange rate movements. The ADRhedged structure holds the Shell ADRs together with currency hedges intended to remove most of that foreign exchange effect, so that returns more closely reflect the performance of Shell's shares in their local currency terms.
