The Schwab Ultra-Short Income ETF is an actively managed exchange-traded fund from Schwab Asset Management, the asset management arm of Charles Schwab. The fund seeks to provide current income consistent with preserving capital and maintaining liquidity.

It invests in short-term, primarily investment-grade debt instruments, which can include corporate bonds, commercial paper, government and agency securities, and securitized debt, while keeping the portfolio's overall duration very short. Rather than replicating an index, the portfolio managers select securities through their own credit and interest-rate analysis. The fund is designed to sit between a money market fund and a short-term bond fund in terms of risk and return profile.
