The YieldMax RDDT Option Income Strategy ETF (RDYY) is an actively managed exchange-traded fund in the YieldMax lineup, offered through Tidal Investments with ZEGA Financial serving as sub-adviser. Its primary objective is to generate current income, with a secondary aim of providing exposure to the share price of Reddit, Inc. (RDDT).

Reddit, Inc. operates the Reddit online platform, a network of user-created communities organized around topics and interests, and earns revenue mainly from advertising and data licensing. Rather than owning the stock outright, the fund creates synthetic long exposure using options and sells call options against that position, collecting option premiums that fund regular distributions. The remainder of the portfolio is held mainly in short-term U.S. Treasury securities used as collateral.

Because the call options cap participation in sharp price gains while the fund still bears the stock's declines, its performance can lag the underlying shares during strong rallies.
