About QQQX

The Nuveen NASDAQ 100 Dynamic Overwrite Fund is a closed-end fund listed on Nasdaq under the symbol QQQX. It holds an equity portfolio designed to track the Nasdaq-100 Index, which is dominated by large technology and growth companies. The fund sells call options on part of the portfolio, generally between 35 and 75 percent of its notional value with a long-term target near 55 percent. The option premiums help fund regular distributions while giving up some upside in strong markets.

The fund was organized in January 2007 as the NASDAQ Premium Income & Growth Fund and began trading in early 2007. It was later renamed to reflect its dynamic approach to the call-writing overlay. Nuveen, the investment arm of TIAA, manages the fund from Chicago. It pays monthly distributions to shareholders.

Because it is a closed-end fund, its share price can trade at a premium or discount to net asset value. Its returns tend to follow the Nasdaq-100 with lower volatility in falling markets and lagging performance in sharp rallies. The fund remains listed and continued filing regular shareholder reports through 2025 and 2026.
