Plains All American Pipeline, L.P. (PAA)

Plains All American Pipeline, L.P., based in Houston, Texas, provides pipeline transport, terminalling, storage and gathering for crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGL) in the United States and Canada. Formed in 1981, it is a subsidiary of Plains GP Holdings, L.P. and has two segments, Crude Oil and NGL. The Crude Oil segment gathers and moves crude through pipelines, gathering systems and trucks, and sometimes by barge or railcar. It also offers terminalling and storage and carries out merchant activities.

As of December 31, 2021, this segment owned or leased 18,300 miles of active crude oil pipelines and gathering systems. It had 74 million barrels of commercial crude storage and 38 million barrels of above-ground tank capacity. It also runs marine facilities, a condensate processing plant, crude oil rail terminals and a fleet of trucks and trailers.

The NGL segment processes natural gas and fractionates, stores, moves and terminals NGLs. It owns four gas processing plants, nine fractionation plants and NGL storage, along with NGL pipelines and rail terminals. The partnership continues to expand its capabilities to meet changing energy demand.
