About LLDR
Global X Long-Term Treasury Ladder ETF is a passively managed bond fund sponsored by Global X ETFs. It seeks to track an index of U.S. Treasury securities arranged as a maturity ladder concentrated in the longer end of the yield curve.
A ladder spreads holdings across a series of maturity buckets in roughly equal proportions rather than concentrating in a single point on the curve. As bonds in the portfolio age and move out of the targeted maturity range, proceeds are reinvested in new long-dated Treasuries, keeping the ladder structure intact over time. Because the holdings are obligations of the U.S. government, the fund's value is driven mainly by changes in long-term interest rates rather than by credit risk.
The fund offers a single-ticker way to hold a diversified set of long-maturity Treasury bonds with the ladder rebalancing handled within the index methodology.
