Itaú Unibanco Holding S.A. provides financial products and services to individuals and companies in Brazil and other countries. It was founded in 1924 and is based in São Paulo, Brazil. It has three segments: Retail Banking, Wholesale Banking, and Activities with the Market and Corporation. Retail Banking offers deposits, loans, credit cards and investments, while Wholesale Banking provides banking and financing for large companies. The third segment covers financial market and corporate activities.

The bank also offers real estate lending, leasing, foreign exchange and insurance. Its insurance covers property and casualty risks for assets and people, as well as life coverage for personal accidents and death. Its customers range from retail clients and high-income individuals to microenterprises and small businesses.

The company was previously named Itaú Unibanco Banco Múltiplo S.A. and adopted its current name in 2009, following a history of mergers. Its parent is IUPAR - Itaú Unibanco Participações S.A. The bank continues to grow in Brazil and abroad and to adapt to changes in global finance.
