iShares iBonds Oct 2035 Term TIPS ETF (IBIL)

The iShares iBonds Oct 2035 Term TIPS ETF (IBIL) is a target-maturity bond fund from BlackRock's iShares that holds U.S. Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS) maturing in 2035.

TIPS are Treasury bonds whose principal is adjusted with changes in the Consumer Price Index, so their interest payments and value at maturity rise with inflation. The fund tracks an index of TIPS maturing in its target year and is expected to liquidate and distribute its assets to shareholders around October 2035, after its holdings mature.

The defined end date lets investors build inflation-protected bond ladders in an exchange-traded format, much like holding an individual TIPS bond to maturity.
