Eocene Ltd. (EOCN)

Eocene Ltd. is a biopharmaceutical company developing therapies for liver diseases and related metabolic conditions. The company was formerly known as Galmed Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and is headquartered in Ramat Gan, Israel.

Its lead product candidate, Aramchol, is an oral compound that has been studied in late-stage clinical development for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis, formerly called NASH, including in patients who are overweight or obese and have prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. The company has also worked on Amilo-5MER, a synthetic peptide, and preclinical programs targeting liver fibrosis.

Eocene has licensed Aramchol rights in South Korea to Samil Pharmaceutical. Its ordinary shares trade on the Nasdaq under the ticker EOCN.
