Xtrackers MSCI EAFE 50% Hedged Equity ETF (EAFH)

The Xtrackers MSCI EAFE 50% Hedged Equity ETF (EAFH) is a passively managed fund from DWS Group under its Xtrackers brand. It seeks to track an MSCI index of developed-market stocks in Europe, Australasia and the Far East.

The fund holds large and mid-sized companies from developed countries outside North America and hedges approximately half of its foreign currency exposure back to the U.S. dollar using currency forward contracts. This partial hedge reduces, but does not eliminate, the impact of exchange-rate movements on returns for U.S. investors.

The fund covers all major sectors and is weighted by market capitalization. It offers a middle ground between an unhedged international fund and one that fully hedges currency risk.
