Cerenome, Inc., formerly Plus Therapeutics, is a Houston, Texas-based company developing targeted radiotherapeutics and diagnostics for cancers affecting the central nervous system and other difficult-to-treat tumors.

Its lead drug candidate, rhenium obisbemeda, delivers the radioactive isotope rhenium-186 directly to tumors using a nanoliposome carrier and is being studied in recurrent glioblastoma, leptomeningeal metastases and pediatric brain cancers. The company is also developing a rhenium-188 microsphere product for liver cancers that is delivered through the hepatic artery. On the diagnostics side, Cerenome offers the CNSide test, a laboratory test that detects tumor cells in cerebrospinal fluid in patients whose cancer has spread to the central nervous system, supported by a data analytics platform.
