About Carlyle Credit Income Fund
Carlyle Credit Income Fund is a closed-end fund managed by an affiliate of The Carlyle Group's global credit business. The fund was formerly known as Vertical Capital Income Fund and adopted its current name and strategy after Carlyle became its adviser.
The fund's objective is to generate current income, with capital appreciation as a secondary goal. It invests primarily in the equity and junior debt tranches of collateralized loan obligations, which are pools of senior secured loans made to corporate borrowers, and it may also invest in related credit instruments. CLO equity tranches receive the residual cash flows after more senior tranches are paid.
