About ABND
The American Century Core Plus Income ETF is an actively managed bond fund from American Century Investments, the Kansas City, Missouri-based asset manager. A core plus strategy invests mainly in investment-grade U.S. bonds, such as Treasuries, agency mortgage-backed securities and corporate debt, while allowing a portion of the portfolio to be placed in higher-yielding sectors.
Those additional sectors can include below-investment-grade corporate bonds, securitized credit and non-U.S. debt, giving the managers more latitude to seek income than a traditional core bond fund. Security selection, sector allocation and duration positioning are determined by the investment team rather than by tracking an index.
The ETF trades on NYSE Arca under the ticker ABND.
