POZN - Pozen, Inc.

Pozen, Inc. logo Pozen, Inc (POZN) was a pharmaceutical company that specialized in developing and commercializing drugs for the treatment of pain and other central nervous system disorders. The company was founded in 1996 and was headquartered in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Pozen's flagship product was Treximet, a combination medication used to treat acute migraine headaches. Treximet combined sumatriptan, a medication that constricts blood vessels in the brain, with naproxen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that helps reduce inflammation and pain. The company also had several other products in development for the treatment of pain and inflammation.

In 2016, Pozen merged with Tribute Pharmaceuticals Canada Inc. to form Aralez Pharmaceuticals, which continued to develop and commercialize Pozen's products. However, in 2018, Aralez filed for bankruptcy and sold its assets to several other pharmaceutical companies.

Overall, Pozen was known for its innovative approach to combining existing medications to create more effective treatments for pain and other conditions. Its flagship product, Treximet, was well-received by physicians and patients alike and was a significant contributor to the company's success.
