RRSat Global Communications Network Ltd., now known as MX1, was a global media services provider that offered digital media and entertainment solutions to customers worldwide. The company was founded in 1986 and was headquartered in Airport City, Israel.
RRSat provided a range of services, including content management, distribution and playout, live broadcasting and event management, and satellite uplink and downlink services. Its customers included major media companies, broadcasters, sports organizations, and government agencies.
In 2016, RRsat was acquired by SES S.A., a global satellite operator based in Luxembourg. After the acquisition, RRsat was merged with SES's media services subsidiary, ASTRA Platform Services, to create a new company called MX1. MX1 provides similar services as RRsat did and operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary of SES.
