Melco Crown Entertainment Limited (MPEL) was a holding company that owned and operated gaming and entertainment resorts in Asia. The company's properties included City of Dreams, Studio City, and Altira Macau in Macau, as well as City of Dreams Manila in the Philippines.
MPEL was founded in 2004 and was based in Hong Kong. The company was listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange until it was acquired by its parent company, Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited (MLCO), in 2018. After the acquisition, MPEL was delisted from the NASDAQ and became a wholly-owned subsidiary of MLCO.
