BFTR - Blackrock Future Innovators ETF

Blackrock Future Innovators ETF logo BFTR is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) managed by BlackRock Inc. The ETF seeks to track the performance of the Morningstar US Future Innovators Index, which is designed to capture the performance of companies that are expected to be at the forefront of innovation in the future.

The Morningstar US Future Innovators Index uses a proprietary methodology to identify companies that are expected to drive future innovation and technological progress. The index is composed of companies that are selected based on factors such as research and development spending, patent filings, and other measures of innovation.

As of September 2021, the BFTR ETF had total net assets of around $250 million and was invested in a diversified portfolio of stocks from a range of sectors. The fund's top holdings included companies such as Tesla, Square, Moderna, and Zoom Video Communications.

In terms of performance, BFTR has delivered strong returns since its inception in June 2020, with a return of around 37% as of September 2021. The ETF's focus on companies at the forefront of innovation and technological progress has helped to drive its performance, as these companies may be well-positioned to grow and outperform the broader market over the long term.
