The company also provides a Linebacker protection plan for public drinking water customers in Connecticut and Maine. Its diverse water supply includes groundwater from wells, surface water from watershed runoff and diversion, reclaimed water, and imported water purchased from the Santa Clara Valley Water District.

SJW Group serves approximately 231,000 water connections, reaching about one million people in the cities of San Jose and Cupertino, as well as Campbell, Monte Sereno, Saratoga, and the Town of Los Gatos, along with adjacent unincorporated territories in Santa Clara County, California. The company also provides water services to around 140,000 connections, serving approximately 456,000 people across 81 municipalities in Connecticut and Maine, covering a service area of roughly 269 square miles. In Texas, SJW Group serves about 24,000 connections, reaching approximately 70,000 people in a 266-square-mile region between San Antonio and Austin. Additionally, the company manages around 3,000 wastewater connections in Southbury, Connecticut.
