MLNX's interconnect solutions provided high-speed, low-latency connections between servers, storage, and other data center resources, enabling efficient and scalable performance for a variety of applications. The company's products included network adapters, switches, cables, software, and related services.
In 2019, Nvidia Corporation (NVDA) acquired Mellanox Technologies in a deal worth approximately $6.9 billion. The acquisition was aimed at strengthening Nvidia's position in the high-performance computing and data center markets by integrating Mellanox's interconnect technology with Nvidia's GPU-based computing and AI capabilities.
Following the acquisition, Mellanox became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nvidia, and the company's shares were delisted from the NASDAQ stock exchange.
