About Juniper Networks Inc
Juniper Networks, Inc. designed, developed and sold networking products and services worldwide. For wide area networks it offered ACX universal access routers, MX Ethernet edge routers, PTX packet transport routers and the cloud-native Juniper Paragon applications.
Its cloud management and security line included an AI-Native networking platform, Juniper Access Points, EX Series switches, session smart routers, assurance services and the Marvis Virtual Network Assistant, which finds and fixes the root cause of IT issues automatically. Data center products included QFX switches and Juniper Apstra for automating the network lifecycle.
It also offered the Junos OS network operating system and security products such as SRX gateways, firewalls including next-generation and virtual firewalls, and malware protection, along with support, professional, SaaS and training services. Sales went through direct teams, distributors, resellers and equipment makers.
Incorporated in 1996 and based in Sunnyvale, California, Juniper was acquired by HPE on July 2, 2025 for $40.00 in cash per JNPR share; the last trade was on July 1, 2025 at $39.95.
