 The
Invesco Quality Municipal Securities Trust, previously known as the
Morgan Stanley Quality Municipal Securities Trust, is a type of
exchange-traded closed-end fund, or closed-end ETF, that is considered
to be a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The
main investment objective of the Invesco Quality Municipal Securities
Trust is to provide a source of current income that is exempt from
federal income tax.To achieve its investment goal, the Trust primarily invests in municipal obligations, which can include municipal bonds, municipal notes, and municipal commercial paper. Additionally, it invests in a varied portfolio of investment grade tax-exempt municipal securities. As part of its investment strategy, the Trust may also invest in inverse floating rate securities, such as residual interest bonds (RIBs) or tender option bonds (TOBs), for investment purposes, and may enter into futures contracts.
