Loan Servicing Solutions (HLSS) was a mortgage servicing company based
in the Cayman Islands. It was incorporated in 2007 and operated as a
subsidiary of Ocwen Financial Corporation until 2015. HLSS primarily
serviced nonperforming and reperforming residential mortgage loans.
The company was publicly traded on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol
HLSS.
In 2015, New Residential Investment Corp. (NRZ) acquired
HLSS for approximately $1.3 billion. As part of the deal, NRZ acquired
the majority of HLSS's mortgage servicing rights, as well as its
platform for managing mortgage servicing. The acquisition allowed NRZ
to expand its operations and gain access to a larger pool of mortgage
servicing assets.
Following the acquisition, HLSS was delisted
from the NASDAQ and ceased to operate as an independent company. Its
mortgage servicing operations were integrated into NRZ's existing
