Goldman Sachs ActiveBeta Emerging Markets Equity ETF (GEM)

 The GS Activebeta Emerging Markets Equity ETF (GEM) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to provide investment results that correspond generally to the performance of the Goldman Sachs ActiveBeta Emerging Markets Equity Index. The fund is managed by Goldman Sachs Asset Management and was launched on September 28, 2015.

The investment objective of the GEM ETF is to provide exposure to emerging market equity securities that exhibit certain characteristics, including value, momentum, quality, and low volatility. The fund seeks to achieve this objective by investing in equity securities of companies in emerging market countries. The index that the fund tracks is designed to provide exposure to emerging market equity securities that exhibit the characteristics of both passive and active investment strategies.

The GEM ETF holds a diversified portfolio of securities across emerging market countries and sectors. The top five sectors in the fund were financials, information technology, consumer discretionary, communication services, and industrials.
