About Adams Resources & Energy Inc
Adams Resources & Energy, through its subsidiaries, marketed, transported, stored and handled crude oil and related products in the U.S. It reported four segments: Crude Oil Marketing, Transportation, Pipeline and Storage, and Logistics and Repurposing.
It bought and sold crude oil, mostly onshore in Texas, North Dakota, Michigan, Wyoming, Colorado and Louisiana, using a fleet of 164 tractor-trailer rigs plus pipeline inventory sites and injection stations. It also hauled liquid chemicals, pressurized gases, asphalt and dry bulk for hire in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, from truck terminals in cities including Houston, Baton Rouge, Tampa, Memphis and Joliet.
The company ran a crude oil and condensate pipeline linking the Eagle Ford Basin to the Gulf Coast waterborne market and moved petroleum products for hire in that basin. It was founded in 1947 and based in Houston, Texas. Its stock was delisted from the NYSE American in February 2025, with the final trade on February 3, 2025 at $37.98.
