SoFi Next 500 ETF logo

The SoFi Next 500 ETF is engineered to provide targeted exposure to a selection of U.S.-listed companies that rank just below the largest 500 firms. To achieve this, the fund invests at least 80% of its total assets, excluding any collateral from securities lending, in the component securities of its underlying index. This index captures the performance of the 500 smallest companies among the 1,000 largest U.S. firms, using a proprietary methodology that balances market capitalization with fundamental factors to determine weightings.

The underlying index of the SoFi Next 500 ETF is meticulously constructed to track the performance of the next tier of significant U.S. companies, often referred to as mid-cap stocks. These companies, while not among the largest 500, still represent a substantial portion of the market and offer potential growth opportunities. The index employs a rules-based approach that integrates both market capitalization and key fundamental metrics, such as earnings and revenue, to determine the inclusion and weighting of each stock.

Investors in the SoFi Next 500 ETF gain exposure to a diversified set of mid-cap stocks that are positioned for growth, potentially capturing opportunities that lie between the large-cap stalwarts and the smaller, emerging companies. This mid-cap focus provides a strategic avenue for investing in companies with substantial market presence and growth potential, which may not yet have achieved the scale of the top 500 firms but are significant within their market segment.

The fund’s approach to passive management aims to closely mirror the performance of its underlying index, ensuring that investors receive returns reflective of the selected mid-cap stocks. By investing in the SoFi Next 500 ETF, investors benefit from a curated portfolio designed to offer exposure to a vital segment of the U.S. market. The focus on the smallest of the largest 1,000 companies allows for a nuanced investment strategy that targets growth opportunities and diversification within the mid-cap sector.
