Stock Predictor System Menu
Every command in the Stock Predictor menu bar, menu by menu.
File
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| New... | Clears all stock symbols from the Companies tab. |
| Open... | Opens a symbol list file. More about symbol list files. |
| Save... | Saves all stock symbols to a symbol list file. |
| Print... | Prints the chart that is displayed. |
| Print All Charts | Prints the charts of all companies in the Companies tab. |
| Print Settings... | Opens the standard Print Settings dialog. |
| Exit | Closes the program. |
Edit
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| Add Ticker | Opens the Add Ticker dialog to add a stock symbol to the Companies tab. |
| Delete Ticker | Deletes the selected stock symbol from the Companies tab. |
| Background Color | Changes the chart background color. |
View
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| Zoom In | Zooms in the chart by one day. |
| Zoom Out | Zooms out the chart by one day. |
| Go Backward | Scrolls the chart one day back in time. |
| Go Forward | Scrolls the chart one day forward in time. |
| Go To Last Dates | Shows the most recent dates. |
Data
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| Servers | Selects the data server. Normally it is set automatically. |
| Update Current | Updates data for the selected stock symbol. |
| Update All | Updates historical data for all symbols in the Companies tab. |
| Compact Database | Compresses the historical quotes database file. |
| Remove All Data | Removes all data from the local historical quotes database. |
Time Range
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| 3 Months, 6 Months, Year, 3 Years, 5 Years | Sets the chart range back from the most recent available data. |
| All Dates | Charts all available historical data. |
| Custom... | Sets a custom date range. |
Chart
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| Settings... | Changes the technical indicators in the lower chart panels. See setting technical indicators. |
Trading
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| Apply Strategy | Switches to the Strategies tab. Running a strategy. |
| Apply Combined Strategy | Opens the Combined Strategy Settings dialog. Combined strategies. |
| Clear Trading History | Removes all Buy and Sell signals from the chart. |
| Record Buy | Records a Buy signal on the chart. |
| Record Sell | Records a Sell signal on the chart. |
Report
| Command | What it does |

| Strategy Performance | Opens the strategy performance dialog. See automated strategy analysis. |
Help

| Contents... | Opens the help contents. |
